Game Modes Galore!
We recently revealed the map editor for Battalion: Arena, and talked about how it’s the kind of thing that can make a great game even better, by allowing gamers to expand and continue their experience with their own creations. Well, that’s a big focus for us here: how can we ensure that you can get the most possible out of our game?
Variety is the spice of life in gaming. With Battalion: Arena we not only bring you new features, new units and new graphics, we also give you a way to play just about every game type available for a turn-based strategy game.
PvP
Player versus Player is the core of the Arena experience. It’s just you and your opponent—Scorpion to Scorpion. It’s a showdown. This is the total vanilla option for your gameplay. Basic… but critical. We’re polishing this one to a sheen for you, but that’s not where we stop.
Free for All
If one on one is awesome, isn’t more versus more better? You’re darn right it is. Arena will support two player, three player and four player maps for some truly epic free-for-all action. Combine this with the custom maps you can create and the map ranking system and you should be able to get some fights going on that you can really brag about.
Team Match
Maybe you prefer more structure than every General for themselves. Team Matches will let you and a friend take on an opponent. And if you’re really itching for a super challenge, why not try a three player match with you versus a team of enemies. I’d suggest taking on a team of three all by yourself, but you’re not that crazy… are you?
Coop
Funny thing about Arena is that it’s not the only new thing we’ve got coming your way. The Battalion onslaught is coming soon, and it will be pretty rapid fire, so get stoked. In addition to multiplayer and single player experiences, we’ll have a couple of Battalion cooperative campaigns that will pit you and a friend against the forces of the wicked Akadians.

How about a game mode where 1 player has a set amount of money but can’t gain anymore, and the other players have normal amount and have to capture to gain?
